Simple, delicious, quaint. This was one of the best breakfast places we’ve found in our years of travel. Best biscuit and gravy, over easy eggs were *chefs kiss*.

No pics for this review. Psych.... you all know I try to come through with some pictures. Well, hubby and I just had got off from work. We wanted a quick bite to eat then head home. What I can say is the meal preparers know how to cook a hardy breakfast. Everything was cooked properly. Even the sausage patties were hand mold and fried. Every time I was about to take my last sip of coffee. The waitress was right there to top me off. Pros: Serve meals accordingly Plates are served hot and ready Fresh tasting food Servers is outstanding Moderate beverage choices Friendly environment Affordable meals Only (1) location Traveling distance from home is 10 minutes. Cons: None

This restaurant features down home southern cooking with a pleasant atmosphere and wonderful customer service. One of my faves here would be the strawberry/pecan/grilled chicken salad!! Don't miss your chance to try the meatloaf, fried chicken livers, or delicious chicken and dressing either. I always try to get an order of fried green tomatoes and one of their southern classic pies! Yum! Well done 278 Restaurant! Oh, I almost forgot, they even bring your food out to your car if you call your order in and request the service. That really helped after a recent surgery.

I am in town on business and The 278 Restaurant was recommended as a great place to stop in for lunch. The recommendation was spot on - the food was fantastic. The Club Sandwich isn't your traditional stacks of deli meat, it's actually thick home cooked turkey, and it is very good. "Ask for the cute blonde" is what we were told, so ask for Theresa (owner) or her daughter, Haley. They will take care of you.

Absolutely the BEST SALADS & country, homecooked food, all around! They also have the sweetest and most helpful owner & staff you could ever ask for! I will never go to Gadsden without getting my Grilled Ghicken, Strawberry Salad...

We eat lunch here frequently. They have meat and three menu. Friendly, clean restrooms and very easy to choose something you want to eat. They have a special everyday. It has booths and tables. Good for groups or single guests.

Lots of parking. Spacious and clean dining area. Clean restrooms. The staff was very professional and polite. The food was exceptional. My waffle was the best I have ever had, so light and crispy. The bacon was cooked to perfection, the hash browns were not greasy at all. I definitely would recommend these three items and the omelette. Second visit seven months later, everything is consistent with the first visit. The food, the service, the cleanliness. Yes, eat here, you will not be disappointed. Third visit five months later and I received the same great food and the same great service. Good job 278 Restaurant!

Best traditional southern breakfast in our area. Biscuits and gravy made from scratch. You can actually get fried eggs. Hash-browns perfect and not oily. Pancakes similar to Cracker Barrel’s cooked with little crunch around outside edges. Service and prices excellent. Reminds me of The Log Cabin’s breakfast in Gatlinburg. Let’s support them!!
